The Me, Citizen of European Union project is a joint initiative of organizations, local governments and partner cities, promoting the exchange of experiences regarding the richness and diversity of the common heritage of the European Union between citizens of different countries. The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the importance of strengthening the European integration process based on solidarity and EU values. This goal will be achieved through the implementation of the following activities: study visits to each partner country, i.e. Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, which will include youth workshops, Open Space for Europe Debates, cultural events/ festivals under the slogan Identity and culture in the European Union in the light of the principle unity in diversity and a conference summarizing and disseminating the project in the Czech Republic.

The target group are project participants from each partner country and residents of small towns, regardless of age, young and seniors, working and unemployed people, entrepreneurs, representatives of nongovernmental organizations and local governments, social activists, migrants, people of various denominations and religions, nationalities, women and men etc. Project activities will give its participants the opportunity to have an international debate on issues related to the European political agenda. Important issues will be discussed, including: regarding the migration crisis, global climate change and citizenship in the EU. The decisive need for conversation and debate on problematic issues, especially in the face of threats of war and refugee policy, sometimes after the pandemic, global climate change, rampant inflation in each country, gave rise to the idea to implement this project on a transnational basis, and the enormous benefits resulting from strengthening the integration process in under the project will serve as an example of good practice.

Raising awareness of the importance of strengthening the capacity of European integration based on solidarity and EU values, actions aimed at promoting mutual understanding and creating a common ground where common solutions can be discussed in a constructive way.; Topic of the visit: Global climate change and the EU.

Summary of the work, work plan for further dissemination and promotion, discussion on future activities and cyclical debates, the event will take place in the Czech Republic for logistical reasons, in a place where it will be easiest for all partners to reach.

After carrying out all the visits, a main report will be prepared on the implementation of the entire project, on the conclusions drawn, the course of the visits, reports on cultural events and festivals, photos, interviews with experts, etc. The report will be made available in English on social media and websites, sent to all organizations that took part in the events and were invited to cooperate, and sent to the European Commission for dissemination.
